Workaholic and all round guitar hero Omar Rodriguez-Lopz has announced a solo show at The Deaf Institute on Thursday 27th September. Omar will be accompanied by a band consisting of Deatoni Parks (The Mars Volta, drums), Teri Gender Bender (Le Butcherettes, Vocals) and probably Juan Alderete (The Mars Volta, bass).

Omar is best know as a founding member of two seminal groups; At The Drive-In and The Mars Volta. ATD-I recetly reformed after a 10 year hiatus for festival slots while The Mars Volta have also been touring this Summer. How he finds time to fit in a solo tour or even remember all the material is beyond me! This will be a rare opportunity to see this seminal musician in an intimate venue so don’t miss out.

Tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow morning from
