Manchester’s very own futuristic prog pioneers Cyril Snear have a new album entitled ‘Riot of Colour’ which will be released on Monday 15th April. The band describe the album as “…a record that, within its beguiling matrix of shape shifting electronics, warped instrumental structures and metal-leaning bite, chimes with the ‘no future’ fear of western society’s twenty-somethings, with lyrics searching for optimism amongst the social and political betrayals, and subsequent disillusionment in 21st century Britain.

The band has very kindly offered BagThing (along with a few other select websites) the opportunity to stream the album for free ahead of the official release next week. The record is astonishing and well worth a listen.

The band is celebrating the release of ‘Riot of Colour’ with a party at The Deaf Institute this Saturday 13th April. Support comes from Cassie & From The Kites of San Quentin. All three bands are excellent live so if you want a great night of live music, get yourself down to The Deaf Institute on Saturday. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
