May is proving to be an unbelievably good time for gigs in Manchester, with acts dashing into our city one more time before festival season truly kicks off. No-one knows this more than the boys over at Now Wave though, with this months listings crammed full of innovators galore. One of the stand out nights falls at the latter end of May, as Ghostpoet graces the Gorilla stage for what is sure to be an unmissable performance.

Following his 2011 Mercury prize Nomination and subsequent catapult to the stars, Ghostpoet will be showcasing his new album ‘Some say I so I say Light’ (available to stream over at The Guardian) on 28th May. His last visit consisted of a sold out show at the Deaf Institute in which he mixed integrity and intimacy to a supreme degree. Support on the night comes from Bristolian producer Typesun & BBC Radio 6Music favourite Amateur Best. Be sure not to miss this one.
