Tickets for Adam Buxton’s David Bowie BUG special on Monday 18th April have long since left the building, but there’s now a chance to secure your seat at the second helping.
In a canny twist of fate, the second wave of tickets are for a show scheduled on Sunday 17th April at Albert Hall, so ahead of the early birds. But both audiences can expect their share of space oddities, diamond dogs and spiders from Mars, as the comedy partner of Joe Cornish reprises his BUG premise of trawling YouTube commentators’ impressions of music videos.
With tribute shows for charity and all manner of postmortem paraphernalia, Bowie’s memory could be bastardised, but the deadpan funnyman has spent many an hour eulogising Bowie long before the shape-shifting pop star’s recent passing. His hour-long Radio 6Music show in 2013 is testimony to Buxton’s genuine love of the Thin White Duke.
