Manchester’s music wouldn’t have half the legacy without its visual memoirs, a fact recognised and celebrated by a forthcoming photographic exhibition being displayed at Old Granada Studios.

Its iconic imagery looks at the history of the venue itself, as well as the nightlife and dancefloors of some of the North West’s memorable music beacons.

The snapshots through time and sound are from the lenses of the likes of dance club camera wielders Grant Fleming, Suzy Del Campo and Dean Chalkley; hip hop chronicler Al Baker; Elaine Constantine, who recently directed Northern Soul; and Kevin Cummins’ post-punk scenescapes, with many more showcasing their work.

The Other Side of Midnight runs from 10-20 June at Old Granada Studios.

Free entry from midday to 7pm.
