This September’s Love Eccles Festival will feature the pop-up Roundabout theatre space thanks to a partnership with Salford’s Lowry venue.
The 168-seater amphitheatre first arrived at the Lowry this time last year, having toured the UK with the offer of a different viewing experience and boasting a series of new productions. Built with the ‘in-the-round’ feel familiar to the Royal Exchange Theatre, the Roundabout features a run of smaller scale shows, such as newcomers Growth (dir. Luke Norris), Love, Lies And Taxidermy (dir. Alan Harris), and I Got Superpowers For My Birthday (dir. Katie Douglas).
The main Lowry venues’ extensive programme includes a stage production of Shawshank Redemption, stand-up comedy by The Boy With Tape On His Face, and an AV show by Canadian digital artist Herman Kolgen.
The Roundabout’s plays at Love Eccles Festival run from 8-11 September, 2016.
