An eclectic array of acts descend on Islington Mill for three days of the finest handpicked independent international music, art experimentation and collaboration for Fat Out Fest 2017.

Following their weekends of success in 2014 and 2012, Salford promoters Fat Out Til You Pass Out have teamed up with names such as The Wire, Baba Yaga’s Hut, The Quietus and Supersonic Festival to curate their latest trip into sound, art, installations and workshops.

Now widely known for 2008 cult classic debut London Zoo, expert collaborator and eardrum-annihilator The Bug will be performing live with Dylan Carlson of Seattle Drone legends Earth – a welcome collaboration. Both known for pushing sonic boundaries and their prolific output within their respective projects, this is quintessential Fat Out Fest.

Sheffield trio Blood Sport, finely tuned from a recent tour with Algiers, will be bringing their unique ‘Aggro-Beat’ to the stage, while noise-rockers Mums will be performing ahead of the release of their debut album last year. Mums will be performing alongside Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, I Know I’m An Alien, Test Dept: Redux for Baba Yaga’s Hut.

This latest instalment of Fat Out is looking to build on the solid success of previous weekends and will be a fine way to spend three days exercising your senses. Early bird tickets have sold out, but worry not, weekend tickets are still available and bands are still being announced.

Fat Out Fest takes place at the Islington Mill, Salford on 14/15/16 April 2017
