Seventeen more bands have been announced for Fat Out Fest 2017, with the promise of more to come for three days of independent and experimental art and music at Islington Mill.
Engimatic post-rockers Trans Am will headline Supersonic stage, while energetic and genre-evading Mancunian four-piece ILL have also been added to Baba Yaga’s Hut’s bill. Acts added to the already eclectic bill include Yr Lovely Dead Moon, Rainbow Grave and Legendary drummer and composer Charles Hayward, founder of experimental trio This Heat.
Other additions include Agathe Max, Alexandra Duvekot & The Plant Orchestra, Data Quack, Deadlift, Despilio, Ecka Rose Mordecai, Greg Beato, Moonseer, VTNM, Sam Weaver and Sarathy Korwar.
Keeping with news coming out of the Islington Mill this week, Sonic Youth founder Thurston Moore and London-based poet Radieux Radio will also be visiting for a week-long residency between 26th February – 4th March for live performance and exhibition, Watch The Sky. The residency will culminate with a live performance within the intimate setting of Fat Out’s Burrow at Islington Mill.
Fat Out Fest takes place at the Islington Mill, Salford on 14/15/16th April 2017. Early bird tickets have now sold out, but weekend tickets are still available.
