Cult alt-rock favourites Dinosaur Jr. are hitting the road once more, with the announcement of three intimate shows at Gorilla on on 14th, 16th and 17th December (early Christmas present, anyone?) Now enjoying a fourth decade of deafening noise and fuzz, the influential trio are showing no signs of extinction, last performing in our city just nine months ago with a sold out The Albert Hall. Demand is high for their upcoming shows, so we advise you don’t hang about…
The band’s roots lie in Massachusetts, where friends J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph began playing together in the early eighties, leading up to the release of visceral eponymous debut album in 1985. Despite a history of break-ups, label disputes and eight-year hiatus thankfully ending in 2005, the group are now supported by an impressive eleven studio albums, including latest release ‘Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not‘, released last year.
Dinosaur Jr play three dates at Gorilla on 14th, 16th and 17th of December. Tickets are available here.
