This autumn, historic Port Street venue Stage & Radio will be hosting Up Close & Personal, a series of new Boiler Room-esque club nights, offering exclusive and intimate sets from world-class DJs. With an emphasis on interaction between DJ and guests, and a limited capacity of just 140 guests, Stage and Radio’s perfect ambience, low ceilings and void acoustics offer a superb mix for the new club night. The first instalment comes on August 18th, when #UpCloseAndPersonal will be hosting Danny Howells, soon followed by the talents of Saytek, Quivver and Eelke Kleijn.

Appearing on 29th September, Saytek’s reputation for innovative, improvised hardware heavy live sets that span the house and techno spectrum have made him on of the nation’s very best live performers. He’ll be followed on 14th October by Box Box Recordings’ DJ/Producer Quivver in October with resident DJ Luke Warren from Frisky Radio. With a schedule that sees him perform in Athens, Ireland, Kiev, London and Tel Aviv and the US, his night at Stage & Radio is a rare chance to catch the producer in action.

Up And Close And Personal will also bring unique talent Eelke Kleijn to Manchester, now as well know for his contemporary movie trailer scores, as his deep live shows and well-formed productions. Based in Rotterdam, the prolific music maker already has two studio albums under his belt and a host of remixes. Catch his all night set for Up Close And Personal on 10th November.

This month’s first instalment of Up Close And Personal with tech house DJ Danny Howells has already sold out, and remaining nights are selling fast!

Tickets for all #UpCloseAndPersonal nights can be found here, or bought direct from Stage & Radio.
