Following a nine-year hiatus ending in 2012, genre-blending favourites The Mavericks wasted no time in returning to the form that had seen them win a string of hit singles in the late nineties. The popular country-steeped, Cuban-flavoured garage outfit emerged from Miami in 1989, finding fans with hits ‘Dance In The Moonlight’, ‘Born To Be Blue’ and ‘Back In Your Arms Again’, and fans are flocking to see them again during a visit to Europe. Last tickets are now available to catch them at The Apollo this February 10th.

No doubt you’ve heard them on numerous wedding dance floors, getting down to ‘Dance The Night Away‘ with your drunk auntie, this band have made a name for themselves with a distinctive blend of country and Cuban styles since first forming over a quarter century ago. Still touring with founding members singer Raul Malo in possession of a “rich supple voice that’s second to only Roy Orbison” and drummer Paul Deakin, along with long-standing keyboardist Jerry Dale McFadden and seasoned guitarist Eddie Perez. Catch them this February.
