The widely celebrated Independent Venue Week returns this month, and one of Manchester’s newest, most exciting clubs have put together a night of music with five acts taking to their stage. Celebrating Independent Venue Week the 30th January, Princess Street venue Night People will be hosting garage rock quartet The 99 Degree, thrilling audiences with their raw and raucous surf rockabilly, alongside six-piece Control Of The Going, ahead of the release of their debut album ‘I Love You But It’s Going To Rain’.

Fans can also expect a dose of self-described “hard-hitting, atomic groove rock”, courtesy of local outfit Lavender, some gloomy guitar-laden indie from trio Little Illusion Machine, joined on the night by Working Men’s Club. Tickets for the night are just £5, so don’t miss out (and support independent venues!)
