Newly-formed Manchester cohort SOFIAHH will play their first headline show in the city for over a year, dropping in at the Eagle Inn on Saturday 31st March. Formed from the remains of popular post-punk outfit Hartheim, their first offering to expectant fans comes in the shape of ‘The Knots’, a stirring piece of melancholy post-rock. Listen below.
Following the tragic passing of Hartheim guitarist Gary Devreede, SOFIAHH are a band formed through a period of major transitions, and development of artistic ideas. Speaking on their thoughts and plans for the future, the band have commented: “There are mini-projects shooting off in different directions, between current members and new ones too, but they all form around the same idea”. Their appearance at the Eagle Inn this Spring offers fans the chance to catch the band showcasing new material in an intimate setting.
