King Tuff‘s latest release ‘The Other’ is an record of reinvention, a “psychic evolution” in his own words following years of extensive touring, coming to a head with something of an arduous stint in support of his last record ‘Black Moon Spell‘. Behind King Tuff’s rock’n’roll persona is Kyle Thomas; the US garage rock troubadour now five albums, a handful of EPs, and multiple live records-deep into a twelve year career. Supporting the new record, King Tuff will play just five UK dates, including an intimate offering at Night People on 13th August, his first appearance in Manchester in four years.

Marking a new chapter in King Tuff’s career, Kyle Thomas’ latest record was self-produced in his home studio, described by himself as the “inside of a wood-paneled spaceship”, playing every instrument aside from drums and saxophone, duties left to Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin respectively. Already finding more than favourable reviews, latest singles ‘Psycho Star’, ‘Thru The Cracks’ and ‘Neverending Sunshine’ demonstrate a weirder, funky leaning to his previous work. Catch his return to Manchester at Night People this summer, with tickets at just £10.

King Tuff performs at Night People on Monday 13th August 2018. Tickets are available here.
