Aussie electro-pop outfit Parcels have announced details of a short set of UK dates on their current tour of the US and Europe. Formed back in 2014 in Byron Bay, the Australia-via-Berlin five-piece were co-signed by Daft Punk in 2016, having heard them play their first show in France in a “sweaty little basement in downtown Paris“. The band will be gracing Academy 2 with their immaculate chic alt-pop sound on Monday 5th November, with tickets on sale Thursday 3rd May at 10am.
Following a busy 2017, including the release of their latest EP ‘Hideout’, they’ve seen their work praised for “the slick musicianship, the rapturously rhythmic, Nile Rodgers-worshipping guitar, and the way the five of them lock into a groove”. The five-piece have recently released new single ‘Tieduprightnow’, striking a retro chord as they “fuse disco-diggin’ grooves and tasty basslines to effortlessly uplifting vocal harmonies and rhythmic guitar riffage”. Don’t miss the chance to catch them live this November 5th at Academy 2.
Parcels perform at Academy 2 on 5th November. Tickets are available here from Thursday 3rd May at 10am.
