Oldham Street venue Gullivers are often host to some of the best names in indie-folk while they make their way across the UK’s live circuit. For your consideration, here are three intimate shows we’ve been looking ahead to in Gullivers’ bustling ballroom this autumn.

Stu Larsen & Natsuki Kurai // Tuesday 9th October

Australian self-described vagabond Stu Larsen and Japanese harmonica player Natsuki Kurai have recently unveiled plans for a worldwide tour that sees them visit North America, Japan and Europe, stopping off in Manchester during a stretch in the UK. The duo released their second EP ‘Stu Larsen & Natsuki Kurai II’ earlier this year.

Marc O’Reilly // Wednesday 24th October

Gritty Irish folk/blues songwriter Marc O’Reilly released fourth album ‘L’Être Politique’ this year, adding to his credentials as one of the most exciting artists within folk/blues. A regular on the festival circuit, O’Reilly has found a cult following with his distinctive take on wild blues, complimented by his clean vocal harmonies.

Marissa Nadler // Monday 29th October

Supporting eighth album ‘For My Crimes’, set for release 28th September, Marissa Nadler has found a signature that is as dynamic as it is intimate, described as the “sound of turmoil giving way to truth”. The Boston-based musician utilises a mesmerizing mezzo-soprano, Nico-esque voice to highlight the strong emotional range of her songwriting.
