21-year-old Matt Maltese has quickly risen to the top of soul-pop crop with debut album ‘Bad Contestant’ bringing in rave reviews, and creating a huge buzz in the process. The Reading-born crooner has announced plans for an eight-date UK and Ireland tour later this year, with his first date in England seeing him drop into Swan Street venue Band On The Wall.

Hailing from Reading, the singer has excelled in his genre, one which has seen something of a revival in recent times with the likes of Tom Misch and Rex Orange County finding young fans with their contemporary, smooth and sensitive take on pop. Blending sharp lyricism with catchy and upbeat tunes, Maltese’s sound is both idiosyncratic and most definitely danceable. Tickets for his new tour are on sale now.

Matt Maltese performs at Soup Kitchen on Wednesday 21st November 2018. Tickets are available here.
