Mothers is the musical vehicle for Kristine Leschper, singer-songwriter and founding member of the indie outfit hailing from Athens, Georgia. Following the release of their sophomore album, the band are heading back out on tour, visiting Manchester this winter. According to the band, latest record ‘Render Another Ugly Method’ “attempts to gain an expanded view of its surroundings through splintered sound, thought, and image”. Listen to recent single ‘PINK’ below.
Their 2016 debut album ‘When You Walk a Long Distance You Are Tired’ was a fragile collection of beautifully stark, raw songwriting, backed up at the time with eight months of touring across the US and UK. Performing as a four-piece, latest record sees the band grow with a more challenging listen, supported with six dates in the UK including a night at Soup Kitchen on 22nd February.
Mothers perform at Soup Kitchen on Friday 22nd February 2019. Tickets are available here.
