Having sold out two years on the trot, music festival and conference Off The Record returns for its biggest year yet. Launched three years ago by Kendal Calling, Sound City and Bluedot, Off The Record aims to create an event to educate and connect a new generation of music industry professionals while showcasing some of the best new music in the UK – and we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away!
The multi-venue live music event is hosted across a range of favourite stages across the Northern Quarter, all just a few minutes’ walk from one another. Tickets are on sale now, priced from £19.25 for a gig pass, £24.75 for a conference pass and £44 for a gig and conference pass.
This year the line-up has been announced ahead of the event for the first time, and includes stages curated by Everything Everything, Rob Da Bank, Tom Ravenscroft, Jesca Hoop, The Orioles, Low Four Studios and many more. Check out this Spotify playlist highlighting the line-up in full.
Workshops will include conversations with Brixton Academy founder Simon Parkes, Doves’ Jez and Andy Williams, producer Bernard Butler and mastering engineer Kevin Tuffy. Other expert panels will explore varied topics such as DIY vs Indie vs Major, the relationship between artist and manager, getting creative with gigs and the current Northern revival. From 6pm on Friday, attendees can look forward to music at Jimmy’s, Band on the Wall, The Peer Hat, Soup Kitchen, Gullivers, Aatma, Night & Day and The Castle Hotel.
