The stunning Sacred Trinity Church in Salford is set to be transformed this month for a showcase from Cong Burn, a budding young label with experimental electronica “running through their veins”. Teaming up with Ohr they’ll be putting together their first ambient gatherings at Sacred Trinity Church this month, featuring experimental saxophonist Ben Vince. Tickets for the event are just £8.
Ben Vince has a knack for gliding effortlessly through genres on his newest album ‘Assimilation’, a record that ventures “to the furthest reaches of experimental song, free jazz, uneasy ambience, and bristling techno” according to Pitchfork. He is a flower of many in a blooming ambient scene and whilst he nods to masters such as Jon Hassell he has a sound that is distinctly his own. Support comes from Carlos, A New Line (Related) and Anxiety Support Group with Howes and Haddon DJs in between acts.
Ben Vince performs at Sacred Trinity Church on Thursday 29th November. Tickets are available here.
