Crosa Rosa @ Castle Hotel // 22nd February 2019
Nottingham’s grunge throwbacks Crosa Rosa visit the Castle on their new “You’re Not Invited Tour” – don’t worry, it’s just a name. Supporting new music, the trio have found a strong following by “fusing elements of halcyon era Sub Pop with psychedelic surges akin to early Spacemen 3”, according to Drowned In Sound. Jerome Thomas @ Castle Hotel // 25th February 2019
Expect a sonic cocktail of soul, jazz, folk to jungle, R&B and hip hop from Jerome Thomas, out supporting his latest EP ‘Gumbo’. Following a sold out shows at Bush Hall, The Roundhouse, Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, Camden Assembly, Hackney Empire, and Notting Hill Arts Club, Thomas brings his smooth sounds to the Castle this February. Tickets are on sale now for £8.
The Rainband @ The Bread Shed // 2nd March 2019
Formed in 2010, local five-piece The Rainband visit The Bread Shed supporting latest album ‘The Shape of Things to Come’. Brought together by singer Martin Finnigan and guitarist Phil Rainey (former band mate of Peter Hook in Monaco) they were soon joined by drummer Steve Irlam, multi-instrumentalist Joe Wilson and Sam Wilson on bass. LYNCHS @ Star and Garter // 9th March 2019
One excellent local act looking to blossom next year are indie quartet LYNCHS, now regulars on the Manchester circuit and have just seen off the release of debut EP ‘The City’. They visit revered venue Star & Garter this March, with tickets now on sale.
The Long Ryders @ Gorilla // 10th April 2019
// Los Angeles alt-country cohort The Long Ryders make a welcome appearance in the city with the promise of a brand-new studio album set for released in 2019. Support for their visit to Gorilla comes from The Hanging Stars, with tickets on sale for £20 now.
