It can be hard to keep track of all the events going on in Manchester, especially those hotly-anticipated shows you know are going to sell out in the blink of an eye. Keeping you up to date as ever, we’ve picked out four upcoming shows you’ll want to ‘add to basket’ before it’s too late.

7th November // The Midnight @ Gorilla

‘Synthwave’ New York outfit The Midnight return to Manchester once again. Made up of Tyler Lyle (a songwriter from the Deep South) and Tim McEwan (a producer from Denmark, their latest release ‘Kids’ is available now. Tickets are on sale from Friday 1st March at 10AM.

20th May // CAAMP @ Deaf Institute

The product of childhood friends Evan Westfall and Taylor Meier, CAAMP came to life in Ohio, independently releasing their eponymous debut LP in 2016. The pair have since added a bass player to their foundations, refining their melodic brand of indie-folk. Following the recent release of their sophomore album, the Ohioan trio visit Deaf Institute on a European tour this summer, following extensive touring in the US. 9th May // Kiefer @ YES

Kiefer’s soulful beats and laid back vibes has quickly found him fans and critical acclaim, as well as the attention of hip-hop stars Dr Dre and Anderson .Paak. Fresh from touring the US, Asia, Europe last summer, Kiefer returns to Manchester supporting upcoming release ‘Bridges’. Tickets are on sale now for £9.50.

21st November // Happy Mondays @ The Academy

As if they’ve never been away, the twenty four hour party people have announced a Greatest Hits tour of the UK and Ireland in the run up to Christmas. The legendary band first came to the public’s attention in 1985 with the New Order-esque ‘Forty Five EP‘, released on Factory Records following an appearance at a battle of the bands competition in the Hacienda. Leading the Madchester wave that swept the country, the band’s tumultuous history reached a peak in 1990 with the seminal ‘Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches’, offering classics such as Step On, Kinky Afro and Loose Fit. Tickets are £32.50.
