Sounds Of The City continues a takeover of the Castlefield Bowl, and there are plenty of excellent musicians performing across the city this week. Over another seven days in Manchester, here are our picks…
Monday 8th: Amber Mark @ Deaf Institute
New York singer-songwriter heads to Deaf Institute for a night of pop and R&B excellence, inspired by musical traditions from countries such as the USA, Germany, Brazil and India. Her appearance in Manchester comes hot on the heels of new single release ‘What If’, listen below!
Tuesday 9th: Elbow @ Castlefield Bowl
Sounds Of The City continues to bring festival vibes to the Castlefield Bowl throughout the week, with a visit from one of Manchester’s favourite sons, Elbow.
Wednesday 10th: The National @ Castlefield Bowl
Back at the Castlefield Bowl, Cincinnatti rock outfit The National support their recent album ‘I Am Easy to Find’ with a night at Sounds Of The City.
Thursday 11th: Will Hoge @ Night & Day Café
Tennessee native Will Hoge brings his blend of soulful Americana and heartland rock & roll to Night & Day, now two decades-deep into a highly prolific career.
Friday 12th: Dâm-Funk @ Band On The Wall
American funk musician Dâm-Funk appears at Band On The Wall on Friday for a rare UK appearance following the recent EP ‘STFU ||’, with support from boundary-pushing jazz duo Skeltr.
Saturday 13th: Indoor Pets @ YES
Bringing a dose of self-described “dirty pop” to YES, Kent-based band Indoor Pets support recently released album ‘Be Content’.
Sunday 14th: Le1f @ Soup Kitchen
American rapper and producer Le1f brings the week to a close at Soup Kitchen, with several well-received mixtapes and EPs to his name, along with his 2015 debut album ‘Riot Boi’.
