This August, Salford’s premier DIY music space The White Hotel hosts the return of Future Sounds, a one-day festival of excellent music from boundary-pushing artists. This time around, the day is headlined by prolific US singer-songwriter Tim Presley, bringing his musical vehicle White Fence to Manchester. Having recently seen off seventh studio album ‘I Have to Feed Larry’s Hawk’, his impressive back catalogue includes work with the likes of The Fall, Cate Le Bon and Ty Segall. Also on the bill are genre-blending Irish five-piece Just Mustard, solo project of Savages bassist Ayse Hassan, Esya, and London-based afro-punk outfit The Intergalactic Republic of Kongo (I.R.O.K.). Attendees can also look forward to Talk Show, The Starlight Magic Hour, and Krush Puppies. Tickets are just £15.
With doors opening at 3:30PM, Revellers can also look forward to art stall and DJ sets from new Withington music shop and café bar Wilderness Records, art exhibition from Charlotte Curnick as well as street food from Handlebar Burrito.
Future Sounds takes place at The White Hotel on Saturday 17th August 2019. Tickets are on sale here.
