Nashville indie singer-songwriter and producer William Tyler visits Manchester this month for a special seated show at YES. Earlier this year, Tyler saw off the release of fourth studio album ‘Goes West’, featuring some of his most accomplished compositions to date, and slapped with a well-deserved 7.9 on Pitchfork. Listen to lead single ‘Fail Safe’ below. Support for his night at YES comes from US musician and composer Heather Woods Broderick, with tickets now on sale for just £14.
Tyler’s first forays into music were as members of Kurt Wagner’s much-loved experimental folk group Lambchop and NYC outfit Silver Jews. Breaking away to focus on a solo career, his live appearances are wistful and intimate affairs. He has toured with the likes of Ty Segall and Jack White, now with four solo albums to his name. Rolling Stone dubbed his 2016 album ‘Modern Country’ as “one of the best country albums of the year”.
William Tyler performs at YES on Thursday 29th August 2019. Tickets are available here.
