Following the release of her debut album ‘Baia’, Pongo will light up Soup Kitchen’s basement this November with her distinctive, hyper-rhythmic afro-pop. Drawing on her Langan and Zairan roots, she creates hypnotic dance tracks laced with infectious pop melodies and driving percussion. Tickets are on sale now.

She embraces the revival of kudoro music, blending elements of African styles like soca and zouk with hints of dancehall and bass music. Her deft, emotive vocals add depth and contrast to the high energy rhythm section. Tickets are just £11 and support will be provided by local artists. Not one to miss for those who enjoy the likes of KOKOKO and Penya.

Pongo performs at Soup Kitchen on Thursday 28th November 2019. Tickets are available here.
