Cleveland born band Cloud Nothings are returning to Manchester this Thursday to the Deaf Institute after must anticipation from their fourth album released last month “Here and Nowhere Else” on Carpark Records.
The three piece rock band consisting of Dylan Baldi, TJ Duke and Jayson Gerykz have been part of the lo-fi community for 5 years ago producing cathartic and aggressive soundings. Opening initially for the likes of Real Estate, Cloud Nothings began at a slow pace but have gradually evolved through their albums to an established soundtrack of angst for the generation they have emerged amongst.
Their newest album develops inspiration from multiple strains however, primarily through jazz and classical, perhaps at no surprise due to the saxophone element that has been present on previous releases. These developments create a new approach to the bands style but in no way overpowers or replaces it, leaving fans in anticipation to see how this transcends to live music at the show on Thursday.
