If you aren’t already aware of the live performance organizers M20 Collective, then their next event ‘Twisted Tubes’ is the perfect excuse for you to get acquainted.
M20 Collective are relatively new- they began in 2013, aiming to be the go-to hosts who organize live music, art shows and fundraisers across South Manchester. What’s special about these guys is that they’re based in Withington (the postcode in the name was a bit of giveaway) and they like to raise the awareness of all kinds of performers and musicians from the area. They help to showcase a pick and mix of what South Manchester has to offer in live performance artists.
On 24th April at 1 Primrose Street on Ancoats their event ‘Twisted Tubes’ is a special night that’s like a tribute to the circus Freak Shows of the 1940’s and 50’s. The term ‘Twisted’ isn’t going to be taken lightly- the show takes the dull and ordinary and transforms it into a spectacle. Expect a mixture of installation, visual and performance art dotted around the venue. The night offers something a bit different. You’ll be treated to an interactive visual experience you don’t get on your average night in Wetherspoons. Music comes from a line‐up of Manchester based musicians and DJs like Dub Smugglers, Salutation Dub Collective and Congo Tuff to perfectly fit the carnival atmosphere!
