Manchester hip hop group The Natural Curriculum’s new video, ‘Middle’, has landed on YouTube ahead of their fifth LP on wax.

The video, predominantly featuring Chalk, with appearances by the other members Jam, Bill Sykes and Aver, was shot on the grounds of Tapeley Park during the first edition of Devon-based festival, Take Back Our World.

The choice of setting at a festival harnessing political activism, debate and free thinking, is in fitting with TNC’s preference for hard-hitting lyrics filled with uncomfortable truths and dystopian metaphors.

The festival, whose second edition took place earlier this summer, from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 July, is organised by Global Justice Now and seeks to provide a space for grassroots activism, political debate and counter-cultural creativity.

The new TNC album, The Best Fertiliser Is The Gardener’s Shadow, will be released on Monday 12 September, 2016.
