Supernova 2017 @ Odeon Printworks // 29th April

Grimm Up North have now released the line-up for Supernova 2017, their celebration of science fiction and fantasy cinema. Don’t miss the chance to catch Total Recall, Westworld, Reign Of Fire, The Thing, Event Horizon and Lifeforce on the big screen. Also screening are a range of short films from international filmmakers including an adaption of Stephen King’s ‘I Am The Doorway’.

Pilot Light TV Festival @ HOME + Manchester Central Library // 4th – 7th May

With a rich history of television in Manchester, Pilot Light Festival have naturally found a home here, returning with another year of television events. Split between HOME and the Manchester Central Library, you’re invited to join debates, Q&As, networking events and watch special anniversary screenings of TV classics, this year including Mad Men and Brass Eye.

A Damn Fine Twin Peaks Quiz @ Gorilla // 18th May

We’re all looking forward to the return of the legendary television series Twin Peaks next month (21st May, if you needed reminding) but for those wishing to go that step further, Gorilla will be hosting a quiz night dedicated to the David Lynch series. With cherry pie and damn fine coffee supplied throughout – naturally – join Gorilla as they ask ‘who did kill Laura Palmer?’ and offer fans a chance to see the first pilot episode again.
