Manchester’s budding electro hip-hop reggae outfit The Moods are prepped to release latest single ‘Joy’, the latest taste of forthcoming album ‘Missing Peace’. Packed with soaring vocals, uplifting strings and rousing drum and bass, the new release helps kick off busy summer tour schedule for the local band, beginning with a special single release show at Rebellion.

Joy is accompanied by a new music video starring Looking For Eric actor (and former member of The Fall) Steve Evets, and follows “two wildly different characters as an average day unravels and they both meet dramatic and contrasting fates”. Watch below.

Signed to the Salford-based A1M Records, The Moods unite rap, brass and beats, delivering potent, political lyrics designed to make you dance, and then they’ll make you think. To promote the new single and video, the Moods take their bold, live show on the road for a UK tour, starting with a launch party at Rebellion on 16th June. After a summer travelling around the country, the band return to Manchester in September to launch ‘Missing Peace’ at The Ritz.

The Moods perform at Rebellion on Friday 16th June, 2017. Last tickets are available here.
