Rapper, poet and activist Akala is returning to Manchester this autumn for his biggest date in Manchester yet at the O2 Ritz. The hip hop artist is on the road supporting new semi-autobiographical, magical realist EP ‘Visions‘, forming part of a new comic book series written entirely in verse. The rapper recently debuted the EP on Charlie Sloth’s renowned Radio 1 rap show.

With his Visions EP, the social-conscious wordsmith combines “deeply stirring soundscapes with hard-hitting beats” produced by James Leggett. Now on the road treating fans to full live performance, visual presentations of the EP, Akala is breaking new ground in hip hop with his theatrical long-form storytelling, a clear indicator of where Akala is taking the hip hop genre. Don’t miss his anticipated return to the city later this year.

Akala performs at The O2 Ritz on Thursday 2nd November 2017. Tickets are available here.
