This week 6Music DJ Marc Riley announced that Oh Sees (the artist formally known as Thee Oh Sees) are returning to Manchester along with a line-up of Castle Face Records bands. Prolific as ever, John Dwyer & Co. released their nineteenth LP earlier this summer in the shape of ‘Orc’, and their twentieth is set to come next month with ‘Memory of a Cut Off Head’. Having played to a sold out the Academy this summer, they’ll play the Albert Hall next year, joined by four of their Castle Face label mates on 1st March.

Joining the San Fran garage rock outfit are ‘prog wizards’ Once And Future Band, along with underground pop wonder Kelley Stoltz. LA’s feedback-soaked punk trio Flat Worm are also on the bill, along with the ‘fuzzed-up goth pop stylings’ of Male Gaze. Castlemania will also be travelling to London’s Troxy the following day.

Castlemania takes places at The Albert Hall on Thursday 1st March 2018. Tickets are available here.
