No sooner had powerful post-punk trio LIINES announced a show at Oldham Street favourite Gullivers, had they seen it upgraded to the higher capacity Night People due to incredible demand for tickets. Most accurately described by The Quietus as “tight-as-you-like snarly pop coated in a holy racket of guitar noise“, the local three-piece are still without a major release tucked under their belt, but have found a devoted following with three hotly-received singles, including latest track ‘Disappear’. They’ll be visiting Night People on Friday 2nd March for their first local headline show in over a year.

Formed in 2014 through a love of 70s post-punk, 80s new wave and 90s grunge, the fierce trio are no strangers to the Manchester scene but find more praise heaped upon them with each passing performance. Having warmed up for their evening at Night People acting as main support for US outfit Hot Snakes at Gorilla last month, don’t miss the latest chance to catch their take on modern indie rock this March.
