‘Tis the season! December has reared its festive head and we’re looking forward to a month of excellent shows. So, what do we have in store for you this month? Gorilla and the Deaf Institute have another exciting few weeks ahead as always, with performances from the likes of Lera Lynn, The Maple State, Julia Holter and Nadine Shah. The Imperial War Museum North will host a specially commissioned performance of new music by Field Music, inspired by their new season ‘Making A New World’. Read more about the new season here. Local promoters Hey! Manchester look ahead to some great shows from The Wave Pictures, Laura Gibson and The Travelling Band.

Promoters SJM and DHP have a bumper crop of listings for you to dive into as always. SJM look like they’ve got a stellar 2019 on the cards with shows from Chvrches, Massive Attack, Beirut, Tom Walker and NAO. DHP also invite you to delve into their schedules, with performances from Rufus Wainwright, Villagers, J Mascis, Dropkick Murphys and Enter Shikari lined up. There’s also an exciting look ahead to Neighbourhood Festival 2019, with headliners Richard Ashcroft, George Ezra, Primal Scream, Slaves and The Vaccines amongst others, as well as some excellent offers from the School Of Electronic Music for all you budding producers.
