Lana Del Rey has unveiled plans for 2020 UK stadium tour supporting her forthcoming album ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’. Released Friday 30th August 2019, the hotly-anticipated album was largely produced and co-written with Jack Antonoff, including tracks ‘Venice Bitch,’ ‘Mariners Apartment Complex’, and ‘hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have – but I have it’. Lana will play a run of UK and European shows in 2020, returning to Manchester at the Arena on 26th February 2020.
Combining her affections for cinematic compositions, moody strings, her weakness for 1950’s Americana and elements of hip hop, the LA singer-songwriter first found international acclaim with sophomore effort ‘Born to Die’, release in 2012, following the release of her eponymous debut album two years earlier. Lana’s 2017 release ‘Lust For Life’ was some of her finest output to date, elevated by collaborations with The Weeknd, and Stevie Nicks on ‘Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems’. From the upcoming album, listen to her cover of Sublime’s ‘Doin’ time’ above.
Lana Del Rey performs at The Arena on 26th February 2020. Tickets are available here. Words by Rich Holmes and Thomas Frodsham.
